In Puerto Rico, a company is trying to do just that, place a waste incinerator in an area already dealing with lead contamination. And if the agency grants the loan application, it could set a national precedent for similar arrangements around the country.
The USDA is taking public comments until September 28th. Tell the USDA: don’t use taxpayer money to finance polluting waste incinerators.
